Grahamstown pupils top Kingswood results

Kingswood College has produced a clean sweep in the matric exam results with every candidate having passed the National Senior Certificate, and some top Eastern Cape achievers who have excelled.  The results reflect the academic strength of the Kingswood College matric class of 2009.

Our top achievers were noticeably Grahamstownian. Christopher Bradshaw achieved a full house of 8 distinctions, and was placed in the top 1% of all the candidates 4 of his subjects. He scored an impressive 97% for Mathematics Paper 3, 94% for Mathematics, 93% for History and 91% for Life Science. He has been awarded one of 50 certificates for outstanding achievement by the IEB.

Kingwood College achieved a 100% pass rate with 79% of the pupils qualifying for a Batchelor’s degree entry. Headmaster, Mr Jon Trafford is delighted with our results. “We’re extremely proud of our top achievers who we knew would do well. Chris Bradshaw deserves special recognition for his outstanding results. He’s a top academic and has been so throughout his school career. But I’m especially thrilled with how well the broad range of our matrics have done.   70% of the papers written by Kingswood pupils were in the top end of the academic rankings which means that our results were solid. Many of the pupils were justly rewarded for their hard work.”
