As part of Kingswood College’s Enrichment Programme, the Grade 9s take part in a School Newspaper and Journalist Club. A group of them recently visited the Rhodes School of Journalism and Media Studies on a “fact finding mission” to find out more about the department, and all that is on offer in this exciting modern building. Mr Kaya Thonjeni, the department’s Schools Outreach Officer and his colleague, Ms Jolandi Snyders, gave the pupils a guided tour, giving them a glimpse behind the scenes where university students learn about television and radio productions and other aspects that make up the world of journalism.
