Former Springbok flyhalf, Braam van Straaten, recently ran a 4-day pre-season training camp on City Lords for the Kingswood 1st division. Braam certainly put the players through their paces and the boys no doubt benefitted immensely from this intensive programme. He was very impressed by the commitment and determination shown by the boys. The training camp also involved a number of kicking drills and it was quite clear by the end of the camp that the players to be entrusted with the kicking duties this season had benefitted from the knowledge imparted on them by Braam who certainly was one of the most successful kickers to wear the Green and Gold.
