Two OKs who have recently made a name for themselves in international rugby visited Kingswood to support their alma mater in their fixture against Pearson.
Brett Wilkinson (OK 2002), who plays for Connacht in Ireland has been included in the initial Irish squad out of which the squad to play in the World Cup will be selected. Brett has Irish citizenship now and has already played 120 matches for Connacht.
David Denton (OK 2008), has been chosen for the Scottish squad out of which their World Cup team will be chosen. David has made a huge impact on the Scottish rugby scene and is seen as a bright prospect for the future. He has represented Scotland on the 7’s circuit and plays for Edinburgh.
They have played against each other once but will surely cross paths again – imagine watching two OKs opposing each other in a 6-Nations clash at Murrayfield! Kingswood will be bursting with pride.
Kingswood wishes them the best of luck and hopefully they will both be selected for the World Cup to be played in New Zealand shortly.
David Denton, Laine Collett (1st XV vice-capt), Brett Wilkinson, Ruru Msutu (1st XV capt)
