Kingswood hosted Framesby in an exciting encounter on Saturday. Neither side dominated the first half and a number of scoring opportunities were missed on both ends. Kingswood goalkeeper Abigail Branford was outstanding and kept her team in the game. The quality of hockey improved after the half-time break. Michelle du Toit managed to convert a well executed counter-attack to give Kingswood a one goal lead. The lead was later doubled after an excellent penalty corner strike by Caryn Dodds. Kingswood won the match 2 – 0, but the score line does not reflect the number of unconverted opportunities created by Framesby.
Michelle du Toit stops the ball from a penalty corner push out and sets up Caryn Dodds who netted, to double Kingswood’s lead.
